CD Release

Talk about inspirational music! I just got the newest release from the Steps for Living Organization in the mail entitled, "Both Sides of the Coin". Our friend Matthew Zachary,  the "cancertainer",  and Dr. Adam Dachman, an osteopathic surgical oncologist and composer, have teamed up to bring you a full length album of piano solos that use the power of music to give voice to the cancer experience from both sides of the coin. With songs like, "Possibility", "Transformation", and "Recovery", the cancer surgeon and the cancer survivor weave their two musical perspectives into one 'vision of hope'.

This 18 song collection is a mix of songs that are both relaxing and uplifting and, needless to say, gets the Acoustic Fuel stamp of approval.  It can definitely take you to the Top of the World or to A Calm Place all in one setting!

Believe us or not

Believe us or not about the power of audio, or music, and the impact it has on the mind, body, and spirit.  But, we come across articles everyday about the positive effects audio, or music therapy, has on people.  Below are a few we have come across in the past couple of weeks.

Lyric of the Day

"I am beautiful no matter what they say

Words can't bring me down

I am beautiful in every single way

Yes, words can't bring me down

So don't you bring me down today"

Acoustic Fuel at the Opera...

I don't know if you know the story of one of Puccini's most famous operas, "Tosca", but it's a love story that ultimately winds up to be pretty gruesome. But despite the sad premise, these storytellers with their intense performances, really took you to several of our destinations - all in one show. At times, I felt like I was in a Calm Place. At others, I found my self at a Stimulation Station. While others, I was at a Creative Commons.

So, this show definitely gets the Acoustic Fuel stamp of approval, and I highly reccommend seeing it. If you cannot wait until then, check the soundtrack out on iTunes. Birgit Nilsson, Franco Corelli, Lorin Maazel & Orchestra dell'Accademia di Santa Cecilia - Puccini: Tosca

Let me know what you think.

This road I walk is paved with broken promises I've made
At least a million times I've fallen
But never will I break
