Looks like more research is being done to help support the belief in the Power of Music. The Department of Psychology at the University of Helsinki is taking on a project called Braintuning.

The goal of this project is to gain a better understanding of music and emotion, and how it plays such a big part in our emotional life and brain functions.

The Braintuning project has received EU funding in the sum of Euro 2.5 million and will last 3 years. For more information visit www.braintuning.fi

Ok who rocks the Air Guitar? Come on admit it when you are in the car, shower, or just standing there and that riff hits you have to do it. Well we came across this new product that will take your Air Guitar to the next level, the Wearable Instrument Shirt (WIS).

Scientist at CSRIO's Textile and Fibre Technology division have found a way to create a T-shirt containing electric sensor that allows you to ROCK ON or OUT as if you had a real guitar.

This product is not on the market yet but from a music therapy stand point we can see how the WIS can be a useful tool in combining the power of music and the health benefits of making music to help relieve stress.
