This year has brought an exciting new adventure for my cousin, Madelyn Shackelford Washington, and two other glorious women. This winter quarter at California State University Los Angeles, she has had the pleasure of starting the CSULA Women's Trio with two other grad students: Erica Maresh and Meghan Boswell Carungcong. The project has been a lot of hard work and insane fun for them, and this Friday they are giving a recital on campus.

Come enjoy a night of Madrigals, Spirituals, and other twentieth-century works.
