Los Angeles, CA - Acoustic Fuel™, a digital music company specializing in "positive audio” is proud to announce its first release by women and for women. The Wonder Women Mix Tape is more than your ordinary “Girl Power” music compilation. Often compared to an "alternative” energy source, it has songs powerful enough to take you where you want to go in life.

In this unique audio experience, you’ll not only get to know the songwriters and their inspiring messages, but meet other prominent women who share a unified message of female empowerment.

“You’ll feel like you are at home with friends…A concert right in the middle of your own living room,” explains co-founder and CEO Jennifer Washington.

“Furthermore, the Wonder Women Mix Tape Gift Card is a pioneering effort to sell digital music in the physical world. Much like the increasingly popular "gift card" concept, they are also the size of a business card and can even be sold off-line at live performances by the artists or in more traditional retail outlets," explains co-founder and CTO Hartford Matthews.

Once purchased, the digital album offers a unique content delivery system that is accessed by a secure pin number. The audio can then be downloaded onto your computer and onto most .mp3 players. Users enjoy a FAST and EASY downloading process never have to sign-up or sign-in.

With songs by emerging female singer/songwriters like Faith Rivera and Theresa Walker, the Wonder Women Mix Tape offers a cross section of genres and musical styles and promises to have something for everyone.

“Try something new, you know you want to,” belts out Theresa Walker on “Feel Free” a daring take charge anthem written to remind women to live life to the fullest.

AF Co-Op Member - Terry Spence

Acoustic Fuel Co-Op Member Terry Spence
My name is Terry Spence and I am from Colorado Springs, Co. My music is often considered Acoustic Instrumental or New Age.

My music is featured on Acoustic Fuel Radio. But, you can check out one of my songs "Sweet Dreams Little One", by pressing PLAY now.

Some of my influences are:
Michael Hedges and Billy McLaughlin

The type of music I create is...
instrumental, primarily acoustic guitar with violin, keys, percussion

My thoughts on the power of music...
If you asked someone why they enjoy music, they would probably be at a loss for words. The Power of Music has the ability to change moods, and even lives, yet it defies any definition. Words are limited by the meaning we give them, but music has the ability to go beyond words and touch us at our deepest level.

My earliest memories of music are...
I remember listening to the music of Styx, Rush, and Kansas in my bedroom with headphones cranked thinking, "I am going to create a music that others can use to escape the worries of a hectic life."

PhotobucketMy mission as a musician is...
My desire is to help people slow down and enjoy the moment. We tend to spend way too much time thinking about the past and the future and not enough time in the "now". Music can help us do that...bring our attention to just this moment, because that's really all we have.

AF Co-Op Member Jordan E. Spivack

Acoustic Fuel Co-Op Member Jordan E. Spivack
Hi, my name is Jordan E. Spivack and my hometown is Nanuet, NY. My music is often considered Cool Jazz or New Age.

One of my songs "Groove 2 U" is featured on the Create and Innovate Digital Compilation on the Acoustic Fuel To-Go Download Store.

But, you can listen to my other song "Romance on Moonlit Bay" now by pressing PLAY.

Some of my influences are...
Pat Metheny, Burt Bacharach, Laura Nyro, Aaron Copland, Joni Mitchell, and Sergei Prokofiev

The type of music I create is...
I write music of all kinds: Instrumentals, which I describe as my Musical Mood Paintings, created through the use of keyboard, synthesizer and multi-tracking; children's songs and musical theater - I write both music and lyrics; classical music - everything from solo piano to full orchestra; and pop songs. The music comes from my heart, and I have been composing music of some sort since the age of five.

To me, the power of music is...
Being able to create music is a great source of joy for me,and it also reflects my many moods. Surely there are times when my music alone gets me through hard times in my life. The ability to hear music is a singular sensation, unequal to any other. Music vibrates through the entire body, and can make a person very happy or very sad. It can move you, connect you with your own spirituality. And harmony can bring people together to create beauty.

PhotobucketMy mission as a musician is...
As a composer I try to make my music as beautiful as possible, to give it meaning, to write it
well, and to make an impression. As a music director at a pre-school I try to introduce the concepts of music to very young minds - what is loud and soft, what is fast and slow, what is an introduction, how to sing in unison, how to count, what is the difference between singing and
screaming, when is it fun and when is it serious. And I always attempt to perform as a professional musician, to set the very best example.

AF Co-Op Member Bree Noble

PhotobucketHi, my name is Bree Noble and I'm from San Dimas, Ca. My music is often considered to be Christian or Adult Contemporary.

My song "Healing Waters" is featured on the AF digital compilation Faith from the "Revitalize Your Spirit" Series. You can check it out now by pressing PLAY.

Some of my influences are...
Sara Groves, Nichole Nordeman, Ginny Owens, Five For Fighting, Sara Bareilles, Sarah McLachlan, Colbie Caillat, Mark Schultz, and Gavin DeGraw

My thoughts on the power of music are...
Music has the power to encapsulate emotion, deliver it in a way that no other medium can. Messages writers want to convey stick in the minds of the listeners through well-crafted lyrics and melodies and are contstantly reborn in new ways each time the song is heard.

More about Bree...
Bree likes to think of herself not as a Christian songwriter, but as a songwriter who is a Christian. She writes about specific aspects of her own Christian walk, but she also writes about problems that are universal like greed, homelessness, racism, and family situations. Her
lyrics explore common emotional issues: apathy, fear, loneliness, mistrust, and seeking joy in suffering.

And then there are those special songs that are her most personal, that convey her heart, not just as a woman of faith but as an individual who has learned to overcome great adversity. Bree has Glaucoma and has been legally blind since birth. With songs such as “Running” and “You Are My Vision” she unveils her most intimate feelings about growing up with a disability and how it has affected her life and her relationship with God.

AF Co-Op Member Misko Stanisic

Acoustic Fuel Co-Op Artist MiskoHi, my name is Misko Stanisic and I am from Stockholme, Sweden. My music is often considered Contemporary Piano Music or World Fusion.

I am an Acoustic Fuel Approved! artist, and you can check out my song "Maharaja" by pressing PLAY.

Some of the artists that have influenced me and my music are...
The Beatles, the Doors, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Björk, Bach, Debussy, Rachmaninov, Grieg, Keith Jarret, Miles Davis, Ray Charles, Jan Johansson

One of my earliest memories of music is...
Waking up early in the morning (as a child), sneaking to our record player, finding the Beatles LP Abbey Road and playing "Here Comes the Sun" to wake my mammy and daddy with what I thought was a "beautiful song for beginning of the day". I still think the same.

PhotobucketA few of my thoughts on my life as a musician...
I am an artist, creating in different fields, depending on what gives me inspiration and what seems challenging at the moment. Yes, probably as all other artists do, I create to explore myself, the life and the world, in search of the answers. So, do I find answers? I would say - yes, yes I do. Through art, I have discovered the most truthful freedom of all. And it works like a highly addictive drug - once you experience it, you cannot go back.

My artistic process goes a little someting like this...
I play piano, improvise and compose until my fingers bleed and the tears stop me from seeing clearly. As I am a very inquisitive person, like a child, my attention floats like a butterfly in the wind, and I am very often lost in the world of ideas, chasing the track of my inspiration. It may sound strange, but I compose mostly without the piano - during subway rides or while walking through the city. Later, I just sit at the piano and play it all.

AF Co-Op Member Theresa Walker

Acoustic Fuel Co-Op Artist Theresa WalkerHi, my name is Theresa Walker and I'm from Los Angeles, Ca. My music is often considered Folk/Rock or Pop.

My song "Feel Free" along with a couple of other songs about female empowerment are featured on the Wonder Women Mix Tape Gift Card.

I create the type of music that is...

Some of the artists that have influenced me and my music are...
Joni Mitchell, Ani Difranco, Sheryl Crow, Coldplay, Fiona Apple, Joseph Arthur, Cat Stevens...too many to name!

PhotobucketMy thoughts on the power of music are...
I think music is one of the most, if not the most powerful tools we have. It's a direct link to our emotions and gives us a way to express ourselves like nothing else can. It intoxicates me, it haunts me, it's the backdrop to my life. It has the power to get me out of thinking and into feeling any emotion I want to feel at any given moment. I would be dry and lifeless without it!

My mission as a musician is...
I do it for the joy of it. It's a way for me to express and honor my truth...and I hope that by my doing that, it will inspire others to do the same in their own life.
